Achievements

Increasing school attendance in rural villages

Woreda Amba Alaje is located in Tigray south zone it has five schools in this rural kebelles , most family in this area base their living on crop farming and they fulfill there needs from selling their yearly product of crops

Small Irrigation Scheme

The project implemented small-scale irrigation to improve the food security, family nutrition, and income of poor rural women-headed households living in drought-prone and food-deficit Woredas Tigray.

Financial supports for investment

Women in rural areas of Tigray has been given trainings and given seed money to improve their trade and start different forms of trade W/ro Haddas has been selling cultural henna plant(Ensosela) for more than ten years but she wasn’t profitable,

Emergency humanitarian support

MCFDA has delivered emergency support for internally displaced people and vulnerable women and children in Mekelle city, Kokofto and Amba Alaje in Tigray As war and natural disasters hit, low access to the basic needs leads to disability, disease and death. MCFDA had reached for more than 2000 Families in need of Aid with cash support .

Education in Emergency

MCFDA supports education in emergency contexts through the Accelerated Learning for Africa (ALFA) program in Partnership with Geneva Global. This initiative provides educational opportunities for students who have dropped out or discontinued their studies. Currently, it supports 360 students across 10 schools in the South Zone of Tigray, specifically in the Woredas of Amba Alaje and Slewa.

Mesgana Child and Family Development Association is a non – governmental Ethiopian Resident Charity organization. Legally  registered in June, 2012 with the registration No. 2763 in Charity and Societies Agency.

Mesgana Child and Family Development Association is working in Addis Ababa, Tigray and Oromia regional state  established with the aim of sustaining the development effort through enhancing to promoting education, environmental protection, prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS. improving reproductive and family health. socio-economic empowerment of women/girls and youth,

 

MCFDA thrives for the holistic development of the country. To achieve this goal it works in collaboration, the government, community, local and international donors.
